 This font looks like something that would be used for the title of a children's story, and is quite a childish looking font.

This font looks like it would be used for the title of a love film. It is cursive and looks quite a mature font.

This font looks like it would be used for the title of a horror book/film. It looks quite creepy and also quite paranormal.

Cultural context in the media

 Cultural Context:

There is clear cultural context in this poster. It is advertising the Japanese Grand Prix, and you can see the Japanese flag, as well as Mount Fuji, a Cherry Blossom tree and 'Hoto Fudo' (which is the building in front of Mount Fuji), which are all Traditional symbols of Japan as a country. The colour of the writing is also a red which is typically related to Japan.

Historical context:

In this poster, Historical context is clearly used. There are old Ferrari Formula 1 drivers and some of the old cars used to advertise for the 2019 Monza Grand Prix (Ferrari's home race). The poster uses a sans serif font, which is more modern, however, the way it is quite a square blocky font still means it has the basic feel about it that old posters would have used if there wasn't a lot of money to print them. The poster is also done in pop art, which was big in the 1950's, that was also the same time F1 began and Ferrari started racing in it, so there is also the historical link there. There is also some cultural context, as this poster is in Red, Green and White, which are the colours of the Italian flag, and the poster is for the Italian Grand Prix. Ferrari is also an Italian team. Also the poster is majoritivley red, which is both the main ferrari colour and also the main colour in the F1 logo.

In this practical, I learnt the basics of how to use Adobe elements 11, including how to crop and change the light levels of an image, and also how to add images to pages and add text and shapes etc..
